If he stayed in the Army after 1920 then any records are still with the army record centre in Glasgow
Army Personnel Centre
Civil Secretariat
Historical Disclosures
Mail Point 400
Kentigern House
65 Brown St.
GLASGOW
G2 8EX
They do charge to do the search so you do really need to know if he was still in after 1920

Evening everyone!
I recently found the medal card of my great grandfather Holborn Simpson which gave his id number as 28829 and stated that he was Duke of Wellington Regiment (West Riding).
I wrote to the Wellington's headquarters asking for any info that they might have about Holborn but they said they did not have his records. Can anyone tell me what I should try next? And exactly what information is generally available about the soldiers that served in WW1?
Thanks guys.
