sorry jim. lol i might have to give up on this one i have managed to find a william morley taylor christened in nottingham 1827 father john and mary whether this was his christening on igi i do not know. i just know that he married sarah ann cant 1847 in leicester she was around the leicester area when her father died because she was a the one who registered it i don,t even know if they had any children for sure,

Your best approach would be to try to locate the couple in 1851.............

Would the names of the witnesses to the marriage hold any helpful clues?

What was William's declared age on the marriage cert? And his occupation?

sorry reg just looked at my threads and only just seen this message sarah was born leicester her father was benjamin cant i have him and his wife on the 41 and 51 census he died 15 sep 1859 his first wife died in 1853 his occupation was a gardener on his deathe but came under a genarel labourer he was born uppingham rutland
