Help/advice needed with archives Australia

Deb needs a change

Deb needs a change Report 26 Nov 2007 07:23

I'm hoping that someone with know-how will be able to help me. I recently e-mail National Archives Australia with regards to opening an immigration record from 1967.

They have sent me a postal reply stating that they have examined the document and have enclosed remittance advice for me to complete, along with quote for certified copy.

My confusion is that the record is under one name, the father. Would all the members of the family also be listed with him on the document, or would I have to apply for a seperate record for each family member?

On the website, all the family were listed together with father's name as the title of document.

Sorry if I sound like a thick head. I'm just not sure if I'm interpreting the letter correctly.

I have to go to work now, but will check back later tonight to see if anyone can give me some advice.

Thanks for your time.

Deb:)
