Thanks Heather Posi - waiting for copy cert but unsure now if this is even correct people as on the birth cert of the first born her maiden name is given as Leary and not Wattam but fathers name is Joseph Clark, and the first born was in 1905!! |

Leary is probably a married name - she may have been a widow but reverted to her maiden name for the childrens birth certs. What did she give her status as on the marriage cert? Mind you one of my dozey ancestors said she was single, gave her married name on the marriage cert and I only gathered her maiden name by the fathers name on there. What name was given as this Marys father? |

Searching for maternal grandmother who was called Mary Ellen - she married Joseph clark in the Spilsby area of lincolnshire in 1904-maiden name given as Leary but on subsequent birth certs of children this is given as wattam. She died in Gables Hospital in 1938. She had sons Fred Ernest Arthur Harry and Jack and daughters gladys and joyce.Cannot trace birth registration under either name but she was born either 1884 or 1885.Any information out there? |
