I'm hoping to learn more about two of my gt gt uncles who were killed in WW1.

They were brothers:
Ezra Francis Walter Baker, who was born in Polstead, Suffolk in Q2 1881.
&
Alfred Ernest Baker, born Q3 1882 in Shelley, Suffolk.

Their parents were George Frederick Baker and Naomi Nora Baker, nee Humphrey (deceased).

I know a little more about Alfred Baker than his brother.
Alfred was living in Witham.Essex prior to the war and was married to Laura and had one sons.
Alfred died in the Battle of Loos on Sept. 26th 1915.

Of Ezra Baker, I have no info at all after the 1901 census, when he was living (unmarried) in Assington,Suffolk.

There appears to be no entry for him at the CWGC site.

Any help /additional info on the brothers would be most welcome.
Many thanks
Rob

Pete,
thanks for your reply.
I have searched the NA site in the past but, from memory,it didn't produce any results where I could specifically say that it was Ezra Baker.
I will have another look though.

Thanks Pete.
I've just been having another look and there's no Ezra Baker or E F W Baker that I can see.
E F Baker produces 9 possibilities and E Baker over 600 I believe.

Is there any on-line access to pension records?
I do know that George did receive a pension for his son(s) but as Alfred was married I assume his widow would receive a pension for him, leaving the father to receive a pension for his unmarried son,Ezra?
