Thanks Ann,

I have joined FIBIS but as yet have had no luck but as you said I shall keep trying. I have no idea as to when my G grandparents were married I am fortunate to have G Granddads army book which shows his postings. He was sent out to a fort in Southern Ireland called Duncannon fort Wexford maybe he met his wife Mary there? Is it possible that there marriage details are held in a military type file?

They are still transcribing records so you need to keep checking in, heaps of my family are still missing. Also remember that they didn't always use their correct names (Rosabella turned into a Rosa and Rose in some of my family) so keep an open mind. Good luck

I am trying to find a marriage date for my G Grandfather. He enlisted to the 77th Foot Middlesex regt in 1875 in Hounslow Middlesex. (which I am pretty sure is the area he was born in) When and where did he marry his wife? Mary Anne Rose O'Hara? John James Dewey died of intermittent fever whilst still a soldier in Kirkee India in 1896. They had four children the first of which was Eliza born in 1886 in Secundenbad India.
