Hi
Thanks Sophie
It looks like she didn't have any children. I was hoping she might have had a son (to try and solve a family mystery). Also was hoping one of her nieces / nephews might have been staying with her to confirm I had the right person - a longshot I know...

Hi Reg
3 Possibles....
1868 to Noel Atikinson - St Mary's Hull
1877 to Robert Sellers - Sculcoates, Hull
1883 to John Thomas Horton - Hull Register Offices.
The first may be the most likely as she lived in the St Mary's area.

Have you looked for a re-marriage?

Hi Reg
Deaths Sep 1864 (>99%)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wilkinson Richard Sampson Hull 9d 129

Unfortunately Alice's mother died in 1863 so she wouldn't be living with her on the 1871. Her father William died a long time before in 1846.

Hi Reg
Yes I've looked on Yorkshire BMD and nothing obvious stands out for Alice. Richard is on the free BMD site in 1864. Do not know anything about children - this is what I was hoping to find out.
I'm now wondering if Alice remarried before the 1871 census.....

Have you checked freebmd for possible deaths?

Did they have children?

Hi

I seem to have hit another of those famous brick walls.

Please could anybody try and trace the following family for me.

Alice Gray born in Hull 1835. She married a Richard Sampson Wilkinson (1833 Hull) in Sculcoates Hull 1855.

I've traced them on the 1861 census living in Hull with her mother Jane boarding with them.

I have been unable to find them on later census.

Here's hoping a fresh pair of eyes might do the trick.
