I am trying to find my great grandad from my mum's side, William Reginald Martin (He was born 1892 or 1891 i can't remember exactly although i remember he died in 1965 as my nan kept his death certificate.) i cannot find him anywhere, unfortunately my nan who was his daughter passed away beginning of this year before i started doing my family tree so i never got to ask her as she knew alot about our family. All my mum knows is that he was born in South Africa as his parents lived out there and his mum didn't like living there so she left his father out there and took my great grandad and his brother back to England. My mum's side of the family is from Poole, Dorset and i know that is where my great grandad was brought up. I know he was in the Navy as i have pictures of him and he also married my great gran while he was on leave because i always remember my nan telling me that when i was young, and he was wearing his Navy clothes, but i also can't find their marraige registration anywhere, they would have been married between 1915-1919 as their first child Rothbury was born 1920. I have found mostly everything for my great gran but i can't find anything for my great grandad its like he didn't exist! i don't know where else to look and what to look for please help!!
