Its possible that Elizabeth thought she was born in Hertford, if she lived there all her life.

Unfortunately i dont know much about her other than she married my grt grt grandfather Alfred Purton, i just wanted to fill in some more details for her as my dad could only give me what he knew.

Chelle, I found her as Elizabeth Purton on the 1881 census at www.familysearch.org.

The baptism I found is also on the the same site for Elizabeth Woodbridge.

How do you know her maiden name was Woodbridge?

Do you have her marriage cert or one of her childrens birth certs?

If you can give this info it will help us to help you.

I can only find an Elizabeth born in London:

If you buy her marriage cert, you'll find out her father's name and occupation
