Hi

Yes that is her entry to Halifax. Its what she done after she arrived. There is a story that the Ashworth family were very well to do and that Phoebe rubbed shoulders with the Canadian High Society.
I would like to confirm this particular story if possible. Also there is a rumour of her involvement with the Canadian WI and a visit to England before the war as their representitive, meeting the King and Queen.

Regards

Pete

Good Afternoon

Trying to find the marriage of Phoebe Ann Clark to John Brian Ashworth in or around c1930s. Phoebe had come from Woolaston in Gloucestershire and was working as a governess for the Ashworth and Fellows families. I am led to believe that the Ashworth estate is now the Royal Ottawa Golf Course.
