Can anyone help with information about how to find people before the 1841 Census............I get stuck with my ancestors before that?

Thanks Margaret...........I had found the death record for my grandfather, but thank you anyway. Yes hopefully once I get the birth certificate I can get more infor to help me find more of the family. Thanks for your help. Regards, Susan

Here is a death.

Nathaniel Pullen born 10th Dec1909 died Oct 1986 Southwark district gro ref vol 15 page 77.

So the birth cert you have sent for is likely correct because although registered in 1910 it will have the correct 1909 birth date.

Im assuming the death I found is correct

Hi Susan.

It would have been best to order Nathaniels marriage cert. It would have his age and fathers name and occupation. You then would be sure when Nathaniel was born.

You keep working back getting birth and marriage certs till you get to the 1901 census.

Then it gets easier

I have no information other than these names I think I may have found the year Nathaniel was born 1910 in or about Hendon..........so have sent away foe birth certificare, so that might help. It's hard when nobody can or wants to speak about my grandfather.

Where were they born? Were Samuel & Mark older or younger?

I am trying find out any information about Nathaniel Pullen born around 1905. He had a brother Samuel and possibly another called Mark. Have no other info except Nathaniel married Florence Fox in the first quarter of 1929 in London.
