STANLEY ALICK PHILLIPS born Melbourne 1922 was my father. His father was Henry Phillips - mother Esther Jane Hallett. They had 8? children. I have no contact with any of his family and would love to have info on any living relatives or family history. Any help much appreciated.

Here is his mother Esther's birth:

Surname: HALLETT
Given Names: Esther Jane

Father: Samuel Robert
Mother: Maria Jane BAULCH
Birth Place: BROA [Broadwater]
Year: 1893
Reg. Number: 19977

Samuel and Maria married in 1891 (reg 4966) in Victoria. Samuel was born in Pt Fairy and Maria in Mt Eccles according to their marriage reg. Esther was the 2nd of 7 chn.

I think this is Samuel's birth, 4th of 6 chn in Vic, no marriage found for his parents. (Belfast was later known as Port Fairy):

His mother Hart died in 1886 aged 64 in Boradwater, dau of Christopher SPARKE (reg 11831). His father Jos Jas died in Pt Fairy aged 82 in 1908 (reg 14964), son of Jos HALLETT and Jane DAVEY.

This is Maria's death:

Given Names: Maria Jane
Father: Baulch Hy
Mother: Martha BAULCH
Death Place: CWELL
Age: 79
Year: 1944
Reg Number: 4432
Event: D

So this may well be her birth:

Surname: BAULCH
Given Names: Mary Jane
Event: B
Father: Henry
Mother: Martha BAULCH
Birth Place: GREE
Year: 1865
Reg Number: 6964

Looks like she was the eldest of 10; Hy & Martha married in 1863 in Victoria (reg 291). Possible death for Martha in 1905 aged 63 in Terang (reg 19041), dau of Enoch BAULCH & Honora MEADE.
