I have been trying to find a WILLIAM HENRY LLOYD, who died in the first world war. I found his brother THOMAS EDWARD on the CWCG but not him. They both joined up at the same time and both died round the same time. They were both in the 2nd battalion.
Any help much appreciated

Is it certain that he died in action?

If he died of natural causes, his death would not be covered by the CWGC

Reggie

CWGC will commemorate regardless of cause of death subject to the death falling within the qualifying period. For example, many died from flu in 1918.

Well, live and learn........I thought that only those who died on active service qualified for commemoration by CWGC.

Thanks for the info.......bizarre though it seems

I have just found William and his brother T E Lloyd on the memorial in Castle Caereinon, on the Channel 4 site, Lost generations. It doesn't give any details apart from initials.
I don't know if thats any help

Not sure about the 1877 bit. Does this mean the year he was born? If so it would the wrong one as he was born 1892. Thank you for your hard work. Its much appreciated.

Please excuse my ignorance but does Yeomanry have something to do with horses?

If so I think that is probably him.
