Hamilton Report 4 Dec 2007 00:01

My great-grandfather was Harry Deakin, b. 1868, parents William & Emma (nee Simmons). Harry married Jessie Tattersall in 1891 and had about 5 children; James & John (Jack) were the only ones who survived to adulthood.
The family lived in Warrington, then moved to Rochdale early 1900s. Apparently Harry left Jessie some time after this, not sure exactly when, or what happened to him after that. Family folklore has it that he met someone else, poss. Trafford area of Manchester, and started a new family. He may have been a publican; he was certainly a talented pianist & earned money entertaining in pubs it seems.
If any of this sounds familiar, would love to hear from you to find out what happened to Harry.
