I am trying to find more info about my paternal grandfather.

Charles Owen Thompson born in 1900 in Norfolk. His mother was Emma Jane Thompson born 1881, her parents I think were George Thompson and Sarah (need Bird).

In 1921 Charles married Elsie Barwick.

Any info re Thompson relatives would be appreciated please

What do you want to know about your Grandfather? Or do you mean his ancestry?

If you buy Emmas birth cert you will know who her parents are for certain. You can then find their marriage and work backwards.

Is this his birth ref? You can buy the cert for £7 from GRO online.

Do you say he was illegitimate? Have you found him in the 1901 census?
