can anyone help....Mary Rachel Potter she married David Hunt in 1st quarter 1882, on census 1991 and 01 states place of birth Clapham then Streatham and I just can't find her birth record. I've only just found her yesterday and about to step on a plane from Spain to visit her husbands grave in London my gggrandfather...strangely alongside or on the same plot is a Father George Potter with David Hunt..thank you.... |

Thanks Chris....never really thought of that, and thanks for the info..she did actually get married in Wandworth...so maybe...I'll get the marriage cert ordered too....of course that will give me her Fathers name..... |

Hi Julie....yes thats David in 1881...he was a lodger in Clapham and must have met Mary there....her birth place.....although that street name is weird for that era...Wirtemburg.....and looks like you've got her in 1881....going to print that off and take it with me....thanks so much... |

I think the birth that Chris has found is for the Mary that i have put on for the 1881..Mary is also dowm as being born Clapham in the 1871 |

So the birth Chris found isn't for the one in the 1871..as it turns out she was really born in the late 40's |
