	Just surfing for surnames, dredging up old posts ... Marriage extremely easy to find, by going to http://www.freebmd.org and searching for the marriage of Benjamin Barnard and Sarah Cross: Marriages Dec 1855 BARNARD Benjamin Norwich 4b 279 CROSS Sarah Ann Norwich 4b 279 The certificate would give Sarah's father's name, a good place to start. Benjamin is a favourite Barnard name, no matter which clan of Barnards it might be. My grx5 grfather was one, but of the less well populated Wiltshire clan, and they crop up in Kent as well.
