Hi Wendy. Have had a look at this for you and hope the following is of help.

1891 census
John 39. Agric Lab. Born ??Grimston/Griston.Norfolk
Mary 36.
Arthur 11
Emma 8
Willie.6.

1901
Old Buckenden.Norfolk.
John. 49. Farm Bailiff. Born Grimston/Griston
Mary 46
Arthur 21. Horse Teamsman
William. 16. Apprentice Carpenter
Annie. 10.

Query.marriage for Emma. 1901. April/June Qtr. registered in Wayland.Norfolk. vol 4b 511.

Query. Marriage for Arthur EDWARD?? 1904. Oct/Dec Qtr. reg in Wayland. vol 4b ????unreadable

I cannot be sure of either of these. The only way to check is to apply for the certificate with the understanding that the Father was John and Farm Worker. If not they should refund your money.

Births that can be checked.
Arthur BENJAMIN 1880. Jan/March Qtr. reg in Wayland. vol 4b 264
Emma Rebecca. 1882. April/June Qtr. reg in Wayland. vol 4b 271
GEORGE William. 1884. July/Sept. Qtr. reg in Wayland. vol 4b 266.

If the births of any of these prove to be correct, then the certificate will confirm Mary Oakley as the Mother's maiden name.

Hope some of this is of help.Happy Christmas. Ethel.
