Gwyn....cannot find a will for Agatha. Have to rely on internet as I'm in Australia.

I have found the marriage announcements for her children and no mention of her. They did have step-mother by then.
Strange thing is the children continued the Ariel name in their children. I wouldn't have thought they'd do that if she was such a terrible person.
Maybe their father didn't tell them the details although you'd think they'd have heard.

Also strange that she was supposedly having an affair with a fellow who was just married (also wealthy) while she was pregnant and her husband brought up that child as well.

So her stepmother was also her sister-in-law?

When the engagements of her children were announced, ( thinking that you said there was money, so maybe reported in papers )....was there any mention of Agatha?

Did she have money after the divorce, ...did she leave a Will?

Reg....born Bristol.

Her father, Myles (a widower) married Lucretia Clark sister of Edward Clark (Agatha's husband).

Myles died the following year, 1840.

Yes Gwyn

That's the daughter.

It has been a long search, so just sorting any untried places.

Defintely divorced Claire.............I have all the gory details in The Times............and yes, there was money, heaps of it.

I have a gut feeling there's not only divorce but murder.

I vaguely remember your long search for her.

Was this the daughter? I think it might have been?

I'm trying to establish if I've looked everywhere for this death.

It is for my missing Agatha. Born Agatha Ariel 1822, married Edward Clark 1839. Divorced 1846. I have all records for those events. I have all census for Agatha's family.

Now it is only Agatha's death I can't find.
In 1851 her ex-husband is listed as widower, but that could have been in preference to putting divorced.

I've checked for re-marriage for Agatha under her maiden and married names as well as two other family names.
I've checked NBI, Ancestry, etc for migration records.
I've trawled Ancestry for deaths and marriages up to 1900.

Can anyone think of anything I've missed.
Thanks.
