Looking for info on my G grand-father Thomas John Smyth B1852 in Ireland Fater's name William Smyth Thomas Smyth was a Gunner in 12th battery 9th brigade R.A according to 1881 census,He married my G grandmother Emma Smyth nee Bailey about 1879 Black Torrington Devon and they had one daughter Clara.Cannot find any info on him after 1881 and he may have Died in the African Boar war. |

This is Emma and Clara in 1891, mistranscribed with the name of the man above them on the image. It looks as if they are sharing a house with him, as there is just a single line between him and Emma and a double one after Emma. Emma is shown as married and is Laundress. Address is 20 Keat Street: |
