I believe that the previous children could have been (from IGI)

JAMES 06 DEC 1835
WILLIAM 05 MAR 1837
and Father Jeremiah was quite old.
Do any of them show up in 1841 perhaps please?

I couldn't even find the parents on the 1851 census.

Couldn't find Martha or Ann in 1851. It's possible that the parents died and the girls were liviing with relatives. Do you know if there were any other siblings?

Sometimes when the individual is a child, they will not be listed on the index. But you will find them listed on an index under the family Head's name.
