The address looks like 2 Dampier Street? He isn't an Auctioneer either, looks like 'Assistant overseer and collector of poor rates and income tax'.

He's the only one born 1845 though.

It is him. Here he is at the same address in 1891, he is an Auctioneer, Accountant and House Estate Agent (jack of all trades!!)
