Yes, Chris's findings have been very good. Have just found Little Melton on the map. I know there are Littles and Greats of most places

I have found Hethersett and Little Melton is just to the NE of Hethersett - or SW of Norwich

Many thanks for your help
Regards

Hi Jo,

Encouraged by Chris' Genuki finding, I put it into Multimap, and came up with Great Melton west of Norwich, just to the north west of Hethersett.

Think I am going to go with Great Moulton. I can find that on my map, but not in my Gazetteer

Many thanks

Chris

Even my Gazetteer of GB does not list Great Melton, which is surprising, but it does look very like it.

Thank you very much for your help with this census

Best wishes

I am preety sure George is a Porter.

'r' and combination of 'er' same as others on the page. 'P' similar to 'Parlour Maid' at top of page.

Wattlefield:

south-west of Norwich and east of Attleborough

Terrington St Clements - near Kings Lynn - sounds like you've found this

Thank you for that. I can see Swansea now, but certainly did not before.

I think there is a Terrington St. Clements just south of Norfolk. Only small villages though

Many thanks for your help
