Wow Ivy,

Nipped out to check the BBQ and 7 replies, great stuff.

Thanks so much for that. You have helped me immensely. Spout Street was renamed St Edward St and on 1881 census Thomas was listed at no 26, with the Globe Inn being next door No 24.

So I now can confirm that he was there from 1861 to when he died in 1905. The Globe Inn being the added bonus :-)

Many thanks, hope you have a great weekend.

Helen

Hi Helen

I've had a look.

"What number?" - I'll get the ref in a moment. There are no street numbers on this schedule, only schedule numbers. The page runs from sch no 51 to 55, and yours are at 52.

Hello,

I have one of my ancestors Thomas Shallcross born 1820c Leek Staffordshire with his wife Mary, son John and two daughters Sarah Ann and Harriett living at Spout Street in Leek on 1861 census.

I am hoping someone would kindly look at the image and see what number it is, and also who were their neighbours in previous household ( I am hoping that it may be the Globe Inn)

Many thanks

Helen
