Not sure if you have details of this man before the marriage?? to Eliza.
I found the 1900 one also.
Just in case you dont have ancestry here goes.

All the registrations were in Leighton buzzard.

Possible marriage for Matthew. 1840. July/Sept. Qtr. reg in Leighton Buzzard. vol 6.113. to Ann Fields.

I hope some of this is new for you.
Copy of the marriage certificate for Matthew will give his Father's name and occupation and witnesses who may be siblings.

Maybe they just lived to together and put on a front that they were married, including the 1891 census.

Yeah I am not sure on that yet Andrew, as on the 1891 census it states their condition as 'M' = married !

If Seth was born 1854 that would have made him 46 when married ... possible but seems late in life...

What do you think??

Thanks for the reply, to be honest although its not certain without Certificates I am trying to find a way round having to buy them as it can be quite expensive! All the 7 pounds soon add up !!

On freebmd..marriage..Seth Denchfield 1900 Sept..Leighton Buzazard..vol 3b..page 857...others on page Eliza Jane Baker and Emily Jane Edwards...get the cert get the fathers' names.

I have searched for ages now for a marriage for my great great grandfather, here are the details I have for him:

Name : Seth Denchfield
Born : Abt 1854

He lived most of his life in Wing, Buckinghamshire, if that helps at all.

I know he married an Eliza, but cannot find out when or Eliza who!?

I know for certain they had a daughter Lottie Elizabeth in 1895.

Any help would be gratefully received
