I am a bit confused, is his surname Adolphus or Thorpe?

where does it state his parents are Henry Adolphus and Elizabeth Thorpe?

I have Henry Adolphus Thorpe marrying Susannah Walford in St Giles Camberwell in London in 1827. They had a son Richard Adolphus, born 26 June 1830, christened 25 July at St George's Camberwell.
Richard later married Emily Mitchell, but states his parents as Henry Adolphus and Elizabeth Thorpe.
I would like to find out what happened to Susannah Walford - can't find any death records. There is a Henry Thorpe living in Clapham in the 1841 census, with three children, one Richard, but no mother/wife.
Can anyone help with tracking Susannah down please?
Any help would be much appreciated - doing this research on behalf of 92 year old descendant of Henry and Richard who would be delighted with any snippets of information.
