Your local LDS (Family History Centre) can order in films of the 1901/1911C. Obviously one needs a fair idea of where the family come from (e.g. Cork City) because one cannot just look up the name in alphabetical order as they have not been transcribed in this format.

Well I'm well happy with it as I have now been able to add the names of 17 people to my tree !

Luckily all my Dad's side come from Dublin.

The 1911 Census for ireland that has already been digitised and is now online free is for Dublin City and Dublin County.

Suggest you google for a map of Ireland and you will see that Armagh and Antrim are Northern Ireland, whereas Dublin is in the Republic of Ireland. Very different places!

The rest of Ireland will follow gradually over the next couple of years. Google the above site to find out the order in which the counties will be available online. The 1901 will also be available in the same way over the next couple of years.

They are both available now, but address only searchable, whereas the ones coming online have been digitised and obviously much easier to use.
