Hi, could anyone find me the birth of Holly Legross, married name Bown married to George. she die in 1961 aged 73 but no-one sems to know anymore about her except they think she was born around christmas hence the name but no idea where. also tha marrige if possible

Just realised that before the index entry for the Holly Bown death given in my previous message, there is a George E. Bown age 74 vol 7c page 539. Same quarter and year.

Checked marriage reg from 1909-1919 can not see them

have you any idea when there 1st child was born.
1912 2nd& 3rd Qtr missing

Yes George and Holly die in the same year 1961, we think that reggie is correct with the 1912 wedding as the name George E is correct but we cannot find her birth as we do not know where she was born, her name was legross as her marriage says but as others have pointed out it could well have changed spelling. people have said she was born in the workhouse to a single mum but we need a birth cert for that and to get that we need a birth place and I cannot find out anything at all as the only person left who would know no longer knows us let alone anything else.
