You will either need to obtain a copy of your grandmother Frances Ashley's birth certificate, marriage and/or death certificates to confirm the names of her parents.

Amy, did your grandmother go by the name Fanny? I couldn't find any birth record for a Francis(es) Ashley in 1924 but found this record:

Ok as an update i have found my grandmothers maiden name as Laura Knight and Francis Ashley. Frances Ashley being born in 1924. How do i find who her parents were?

Jack Caplin - born 1920C
Frances - born 1924C
Kenneth Croker - born 1925C
Laura - born 1930C

These are just estimates! I have no idea how old they were. My grandmother frances died on the 7th of december 2000.

Yeah i put them in and sent messages to people who have them in their tree. I have my mother and fathers names but i dont know the surnames of my grandmothers. My father being Kenneth Caplin and my Mother Hilary Croker, both born in Birkenhead. My fathers father i think was called Jack Caplin and my fathers mothers first name was francis. My mothers father was Kenneth Croker and my mothers mothers first name is Laura. Do you need dates? i dont have exacts. x

You will need to give a bit more information than that. Do you have any first names? Dates?

Have you put those surnames into the search box on this site to see if anyone else has them in their tree?

Im looking for my relatives from the birkenhead area or the surname croker and the surname caplin. Anybody with information please contact me.
