Find Ancestors

could someone please tell me what information does it give on the passenger lists.

I want to search all the G A Clarke's to check if any are my great grandfather, but first need to confirm what information is given before I pay for a monthly subscription. I am mostly interested in whether it gives occupation.

The passenger list I got lists the anme of the ship, the agent or owener of the ship date of arrival, where it came from.
people info I have on my ship list is name of passenger, class of travel, port of embarkation, male or female, date of birth, married or sigle widowed or divorced, address at there destination, occupation, country of citizenship, country of last permanent residence, country of future permanent residence & finally if only visiting counrty how long for.

Not sure if all ships list are like this but some very useful info.

Nicola it is very generous of you to offer. I really need to look at all the matches for G A Clarke, so understand if that is far too lengthy to do.

I am trying to trace my great grandfather whose name was Grosvenor Ashford Clarke, the trouble is I have no idea when or where he was born, but he had 4 children from 1920 to 1924 and then disappeared about 1926, can't find any marriage to the mother. So need to rule him out leaving on a ship.

All i know is that his occupation was in the theatre, he has been classed as actor, music hall artiste, member of the theatrical society and stage manager on childrens birth certificates.

Don't worry if this will take to long as I think there was 26 G A Clarkes in total. I totally understand and will just subscribe for a month as intended and work through them all.

thanks Elouise, i have just had a look didnt realise u could buy certain amount of credits, although looking at it, I think it will work out cheap buying a monthly subscription to the passenger lists.
