Hi Lisa J in California,

I found the marriage of WILLIAM VOUS to BETTY FRANCIS. I'm afraid all that was recorded was the date, 16th March 1748.

Sorry there was no additional information.

Regards,
Andy

Hello Andy:

Thank you very much for taking the time to look.

May I ask, if you remember!, if the spelling looked like Vous, rather than Vaus? If you don't remember, I understand. (This may be the ancestor who was born in France which is why I'm curious about the spelling.)

Thank you again for looking for me. Best of luck with your searches.

Andrew

Thank you very much Andy! I am fairly certain that he was born in France and this helps support that idea. Thank you again!

Hi Andy

Thank you for the extra details. I am sorry its pretty vague as these are the two I have not been able to find yet. Father James William Taylor was a gardener. I do have other children they were born earlier at Arundel. They seem to have moved about a bit with his job.

Thanks for the lookup. I appreciate it very much.

Hi Andrew,
Would you be able to look up Eleanor / Ellen Hayles, a birth in Lewes, around 1812-1817? Parents names believed to be Edward and Jane. If you find the birth, would you be able to look for Edward and Jane's marriage around the same sort of time??
Many thank you's!
Nat
