Can anyone help with a lookup for BMD in the Armley / Wortley registers or electoral rolls for members of the Clark family.
In 1913 Frederick & Ellen Clark were living at 37 Main Road Armley. In 1915 Frederick was living at 3 Strawberry Terrace Armley possibly with his Daughter.

Children of Frederick & Ellen are:

Mary b 31/1/1872 Bramley
Fred b 26/7/1873 Bramley died ?1887
James b 11/12/1874 ? Scotland died ? before 1881
Harriet b 24/8/1876 Scotland died ?1897 ? Bramley
Elizabeth S b 8/7/1878 Scotland
William b 31/12/1880 Scotland
Nellie b 31/8/1883 Stamford Lincs

Any help would be appreciated

Regards

Norman

Could you clarify exactly what info you are seeking....

Have you tried to find the BMD info for yourself?
Check freebmd website for the English records.

To find births etc for Scotland, you will need to access the pay-to-view scotlandspeople site.

For ER's you need to have an address.........the records should be held at the main public library for the area. Try contacting them to see if they are prepared to do lookups.

Thanks Reggie

We know when the children were born from family records and have found where, from the various Census returns except for James.
We assume that Fred & James died before 1891 and Harriet before 1901 but do not where or when.
Frederick & Ellen were living at Riccarton Junction in Scotland between 1874 and 1883 and appear on the 1881 census with the name spelt Clerk.
We have details of Frederick and Ellens deaths and know that a daughter was living at 3 Strawberry Terrace Armley at that time. If we can find details of the other occupants in 1915 and the following years it may help to find a marriage of the daughter and which daughter it was.
Hope this clarifies things.

Contact the main public library in Leeds to see if they will do lookups.

But bear in mind how limited the Electoral Franchise was in 1915.............

It should not be too difficult for you to find the deaths on freebmd.........have you tried to find them?

Harriet was 14 in 1891.......old enough to have been married by 1901........have you tried looking for a possible marriage?

Presumably this is the record you think may be your relation?

Name: Harriet Clark
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1877
Year of Registration: 1897
Quarter of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar
Age at Death: 20
District: Bramley (1863-1925)
County: Yorkshire - West Riding
Volume: 9b

Unfortunately, the only way to find out is to purchase the cert, and see who registered it.
