Diplodicus Report 14 Dec 2007 15:14

My gr gr gr gr grandfather was George Vincent present at the marriage of his son James in Melcombe Horsey on 3/10/1837.
A George Vincent married Rebekka Chamberlaine at the same chuch on 13/2/1814 but I cannot be certain 'tis one and the same George.
There are no Vincents in the Melcombe Horsey census for 1841. James' birthplace changes with the census.
Four, yes four, George Vincents die in the area between 1838 and 1840!
Can anyone connect me to the correct George Vincent??

Many thanks
Malcolm Vincent

p.s. James married Martha Smith Gover from Milborne St Andrew and several members of the Gover family have been kind enough to share their trees with me. There are plenty of Vincents next door in Dewlish too!
