Hey.I have asked a few of my new found family members and that's how i have found out about them.I have a Kevin Kyle who is my cousin but he was born around the 60's.One of my sisters or brother was born in 1973 but I don't know which one.I have written so many letters to people and got no reply.I have two sitting there just now waiting to post to possible John Kyles(my father).I have sent messages to any possible match also on this site. It's through Genes Reunited that i got in touch with my Dads family.

Hi Sylvanna -- if you look in the phone directory on line

http://www.thephonebook.bt.com/publisha.content/en/search/residential/search.publisha

there are only 20 Kyles in Stranraer, including an M and a couple of Js.

Have you tried contacting people there by that name? If not your siblings and dad themselves, you might find a sibling of your dad, or a cousin, or another family member who could help you get in touch.

Hmm, any relation to Kevin Kyle, I wonder? He seems to be a well-known footballer:

and his mother has been researching the family tree!

Seriously, Kevin Kyle's mother might be somebody to talk to.

That Kevin was born in 1981, and there is a Kevin Kyle born 1981 in Stranraer in a tree here at GR belonging to a person named Kevin.

There is also a John who has a John Kyle born 1973 in Stranraer in his tree.

Just search trees for surname Kyle, born Stranraer. I'd get in touch with people who have them in their trees.
