Help trying to find grandparents

Hi. Was he born in 1929 or get married in 1929? Your dad's birth cert will have Wilhemina's maiden name.
The problem with Scottish records is that there is a 100 yr closure rule on births, 75 on marriages and 50 on deaths which are available online.
Before that, you can access Scottish records via ScotlandsPeople.

You need to start with what you are sure of........your father.

Get his birth cert............it will tell you the full names of his parents.

You can then look for their marriage.......and so on..............

Incidentally, your message is a little unclear.......was George born c1929, or is that when the marriage took place?

Could anyone help me with finding out some information, i dont have much info on grandparents all i know is my grandfather was called George Campbell possibly born in Caithness or Sutherland around 1929, he went on to marry a lady called Wilhemina, not sure of year, they had 5 kids, 2 boys (one my father) and 3 girls, they lived in Melvich which is in Sutherland in Scotland. Any info appreciated, many thanks.
