Good heavens Lewella I'm absolutely stunned!
You will have made my mother very happy.
I hope you have the best Christmas and New year and I will make sure that the whole family knows what you have done.
Thank you thank you.

What I'm thinking is that because Vera was born out of wedlock, they did not immediately register her birth, but did so prior to her marriage in 1914.

Thank you Lew
Samuel died in 1940

This is so important for my mother as she hasn't got long to live and has never known anything about her family.

The way people help each other on this site is just wonderful.

Warm regards
Anne

Vera Lee was born in Carlton North, Vic in 1895 to Samuel Lee and Catherine Geraghty (Registration No. 29560X1913.

If you purchase the marriage certificate, it will give you Samuel's age which might be helpful

Loulou Report 15 Dec 2007 22:35

Have done all family trees except my Mother's maternal side. It's a blank. Facts so far

Vera Lee marries Phillip Batt in 1914 in Melbourne Aust
Samuel lee is Vera's father

Samuel Lee marries Catherine Geraghty in 1900 in Carlton Victoria Aust

Samuel Lee is born in South Australia. Cannot find anything else about them.

Have tried using the internet for archives in SA but not helpful.
My mother has not got long to live and would love to know more about her mother's side of the family.
Any help will be appreciated.
Anne
