Hi Vanessa & Warren

I am not related but did some snooping!

This looks like Elizabeth's death:

Surname: BRIGHT
Given Names: Elizabeth
Event: D
Father: Penny Edward
Mother: Emma COX
Age: 69
Death Place: U
Year: 1882
Reg Number: 8081

Edward & Amelia nee LLOYD had 7 children in Victoria 1865-79. 1 died in infancy, 1 aged 5 yrs and nother at 17 yrs. Let me know if you would like their names etc. Here is Edward's death:

Surname: BRIGHT
Given Names: Edw
Event: D
Father: Bright Jno
Mother: Elizth PENNY
Age: 76
Death Place: Fitz N
Year: 1918
Reg. Number: 1363

And Amelia's death:

Surname: BRIGHT
Given Names: Amelia
Father: Lloyd Samuel
Mother: Unknown UNKNOWN
Death Place: NCOTE
Age: 91
Year: 1927
Reg Number: 11760
Event: D

There is a Richard BRIGHT b. Piccadilly who married an Elizabeth LLOYD (b. London) in Vic in 1867 (reg 1285), wonder if this was a sister of Amelia?? They had 6 chn 1868-79, 2 died young (one died at age 1 and another drowned at age 11yrs - inquest ref 130). This is Richard's death:

Surname: BRIGHT
Given Names: Richard
Event: D
Father: John
Mother: Elizabeth PENNY
Age: 41
Death Place: MELB S
Year: 1881
Reg Number: 5254

There was an inquest into his death; his occupation is shown as produce merchant and he died of alcohol poisoning (ref 612).

A Robert BRIGHT, b. London, m. Henrietta PAISLEY (b. Dublin) in 1879 (reg 1427). They lived in the Fitzroy area and had 3 chn 1880-5 (eldest died at 8mths and another at 5 yrs).

This is Alice's death:

Surname: BRIGHT
Given Names: Alice
Event: D
Father: John
Mother: Elizabeth PENNEY
Age: 22
Birth Place: LOND
Year: 1867
Reg Number: 10760

Possible marriage for Ellen, b. London, to Thos Wm PARKINSON (b. Glasgow) in 1882 (reg 5518). They lived in Fitzroy and Calrton and had 2 chn 1883-4, eldest died aged 8m.

This might be Eliz jnr's death. If so, her husband was Henry and they had 5 chn in Melb 1860-69 (2 died before age 1) and did not marry in Vic. (There is a marriage in West London that fits, Jun qu 1855, 1c 110).

Surname: WARREN
Given Names: Elizth
Event: D
Father: Bright Jno
Mother: Elizth UNKNOWN
Age: 72
Death Place: Fitz N
Year: 1907
Reg. Number: 1271

Do you have immigration records? It looks like Elizabeth age 51 and Ellen (12) and Robert (14) arrived aboard the Champion of the Seas in Nov 1865. Edward's wife Amelia seems to have arrived alone aboard Rockhampton in Feb 1865 aged 27 and Alice also arrived alone aged 19 aboard Yorkshire Nov 1864. Interestingly an Elizabeth LLOYD also travelled to Vic aboard Champion of the Seas, aged 24, in Nov 1865. Can't see Richard or Edward's arrival.

Hope this is helpful and there is something new here. Let me know if you would like further details of any of the grandchn's bdms.

Cheers & merry xmas

Cherilyn

Trying to find out any information in relation to John Bright b 1813 in Devon England his wife Elizabeth Penney (may be spelt Penny) also b c1813 Devon, England. They married 11 Nov 1833 in Exeter, Devon, England. They had 13 children:

William c1834
Elizabeth c1836
Thomas c1837
John c1838
Richard c 1840
Edward c1842
Sarah c1843
Alice c1845
Joseph c1847
James c1849
Robert c1850
Ellen c1852
Susan Ann c1853

William & Elizabeth were both born in Exeter, Devon, England and the remaining children were all born in Westminster, England (St James).

John Bright died in 1858 and Elizabeth emigrated to Victoria, Australia with a number of her children, one being Edward Bright who married Amelia LLoyd (b c1845 England) 11 Sept 1863 in St James Westminster, England.

If anyone has any information (it does not matter how trivial) I would appreciate it, could they contact me with it.

Thanking you in anticipation
