I have just had a look at my tree and the grandchildren listed in thte 1871 census are of the daughter Mary Wills who married a John Cross. To ALL that HELPED with the census THANK YOU

Hi Allan, Sylvia

Findmypast has husband Amos Wills in 1841. The references to piece and book number come up with no result on Ancestry.

Apologies, will have to abandon this to get the family moving...

THANK YOU Sylvia of Canada for the census results..Now I know why I could not find the surname on the census index..did you find the census for 1871..Mary seemed to moved from Amos in 1861 to John in 1881.John and Amos being the esdest and youngest sons.

I cannot, however, find them on the 1841 Census.

I have tried surname only, christian name only, village only, county only

Nothing for ANY of them!!

This is probably Amos Wills' death registration from www.freebmd.org.uk (it is free to use).

Oundle is the registration centre that includes Winwick

I am trying to trace the census of
Mary Cobley
born 1801 Winwick Barham Huntingdon
who married Amos Wills
b 1799 Winwick Huntingdon
Mary Wills is listed in the 1881 census as living with her son John Wills b 1826 and his wife Elizabeth of Winwick..Oundle Huntingdon
I believe that Mary Wills husband Amos may have died between 1840-1855 because the last child born to Mary and Amos Wills was born 1841..Amos is listed deceased in the 1855 shipping record of his daughter but Mary Wills is discribed as living. So I am trying to trace Mary Wills movements from 1855 census ..I have a listing of the Death of Mary Wills 1883 Oundle which would be the Mary Wills that I am researching
