Donaldson - Edinburgh Gravestone

Rosebank Cemetery, Leith, Edinbugh.

Gravestone reads In Loving Memory of John H.A. Donaldson 1912-1962.

He's buried in the plot of my g-grandfather John Hunter Adams (possible origin of the H.A.?).

Can anybody tell me anything about this person?

Thanks
Alistair

Hi Alistair,

As Scottish Birth records only go up to 1906 and Death records only go up to 1956 on Scotlands People I don't think anyone can tell you the answer.

The only way to find out if for someone who is going to the Edinburgh GRO to check it for you.

This was a Eureka moment when I solved it.

John Donaldson (Snr) married TWO of my grandaunts (the first died in childbirth), and had a son, John Donaldson, by each.
