The record of marriage names him as John Christopher Parker, so the John C Parker in 1861 looks like a good bet.

The marriage was registered in St George in the East, that's where the John C Parker household is in 1861, and that's where Elizabeth's place of birth is per the 1861.

I would say that Elizabeth's age in 1861 is really 33, not 22 as transcribed. So this would be her in 1851:

Name: Elizabeth Goodchild
Age: 22
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1829
Relation: Daughter
Mother's Name: Sarah
Gender: Female
Where born: St George, Middlesex, England

Civil Parish: St George in The East
County/Island: Middlesex
Country: England

Registration district: St George In The East
Sub-registration district: St John
ED, institution, or vessel: 7
Household schedule number: 193

John Cuthbert 55
Amelia Goodchild 15
Elizabeth Goodchild 22
John Goodchild 18
Lydia Goodchild 20
Matilda Goodchild 10

The address of the household is Tower Hamlets, Low [something] Alley. Oh well!

Kay???? Report 16 Dec 2007 21:31

have you found this couple on 1861 census,?you could get birthplace from that.

you may not find a registered bith as it didnt begin till 1837 and wasnt complusary till 1874/5,,,
you may have to go to Parish Registers, for a baptism.if he was baptised,,,,,,,,

as regards the address in 1853..may not have exsisted in 1851/1841,or was called something else prior to 1853,,,,,,,,

Victoria Report 16 Dec 2007 21:21

John Christopher Parker married Elizabeth Goodchild 1853. Address was 20 Goodman's Fields, Whitechapel (Middlesex)
I am trying to trace this address in the 1841 & 1851 census but am not having any luck.

Nor am I having luck with his birth date/place.

His father was named John Parker and had an occupation to do with fishing vessels.

Any help, much appreciated.
