Find Ancestors

Dear All,
I am trying to find any references to a WILLIAM MERRETT [1837-1901] or his wife Mary Ann Painter [1836-1916].

You must have some references to them already, or you wouldn't have the information you have given!

You should provide what you have, Charles, so that people here trying to help don't go spending time on researching your people from 1837 to 1901 only to find what you already have.

Do you have their marriage? Where were they, for starters? Do you know their children's names and dates of birth?

In other words: what exactly are you wanting to find out?? ;)

They married in 1856 in Malmesbury ...

I see they're a little tricky in the censuses.

They kind of seem to be this couple, in 1881 e.g.:

They seem to have had no children; would that be them? Ages not quite bang on for what you have (I think the one in the GRO reg Q1 1838 is the one born in Market Lavington, married to Emma in the censuses), but otherwise the only prime candidates.
