Trying to find Palmers from Durham.

Hi, I am trying to find any relatives of my grandmother, Bessie Palmer b 1905. They were mostly masons who lived in the Elvet area of Durham, although her father, Frederick Palmer b.1869 was a Cartman. I would be especially interested to hear about Robert Palmer b 1897 in Durham but joined the Royal Navy when he was 15, served in the First World War, and from then on lived in Portsmouth. What happened to him and did he have any family?

Thank you.
