Kathryn herself is guessing at the birth year. ;)

Her mum was 18 in 1973. So her Michael Kiely (if that's the right name) could have been born anytime up to 1957ish ...

I would try it even if the date was wrong....the person might be guessing at birth year.

If you go here

http://www.eircomphonebook.ie/search.ds

and search for Kiely (residential) in Dublin, there are three Ms. You have to search place by place, so you could just go through the list of places ...

There are no residential Tierney listings in Moyle. I don't know my Irish geography, so I can't take it much farther than that, but you could give it a go.

Just do the same thing for Michael Kiely -- put his name in the search box at the top of the page. You'll actually get quite a number of results, but sort them from youngest to oldest if they aren't already (the "sort" box in the upper right above the names), and just read through, pick out the ones who look like possibles, and send messages to the tree owners.

It might seem likely that if someone has your Michael they'd have his wife Bridget, but not necessarily. If Michael is someone's cousin, say, they might put him in their tree but not the details of his own family. It's a long shot, to be sure, but you never know.

Irish records -- that's beyond me. If you go to the Tips board and ask a specific question -- whether it's possible to get info about marriages in the 1970s, say -- you should get an answer. I suspect those records aren't accessible, but I really have no clue. There are people here who know all about it though, so ask away.

Oh! Bridget had wrong year of birth to mine but how do I go about finding Michael Kiely link. I'm so new to this that I feel like a fish out of water!! Does anyone know if you can search for irish records on here too? Can't seem to find any.

Someone different has a Michael Kiely born 1955 in Lismore. Possibly also worth a try. But hopefully Bridget will be the right one. What a kick that would be!
