Hi to all, and seasons greetings !!

I am in need of assistance, I am trying to find out if Jacqueline Ann Block who was born on 5th February 1944 (married Alan John Whiting in 1961, but then divorced around 1975) possibly married someone by the name of Stephens in 1978 in Croydon and died in October 1987 in Greenwich is all the same person.

I am living overseas and am unable to browse through records at record house, so am seeking anyone who can assist me in any way. I am desperate to discover the truth as to whether she is dead or alive!

Please please help, I know its a busy time of year and I am happy to wait for a result but I would be very gratedul if you would help.

Hi Lesley,
Looks like the right one. Jacqueline Ann Stephens, born 5th February 1944, died October 1987, Greenwich, Vol.12, Page No.1221, Reg. No.1087.

If you are unsure this is the same person - have you found/bought the marriage certificate for the stephens marriage? That should give her married name and her maiden name.

Thanks for the assistance, I guess my next question would be, can anyone tell me is Collin W Stephens still alive ?

It appears I will have to order the birth and death certificates now too for more confirmation.

Lesley I've had a look & can no death for a Colin W Stephens between 1984-2005.
What you really need is the marriage cert as this will give you his age & also confirm that you have the correct Jacqueline.
