The problem of seaching by address is that all houses in the village had the same address. "Middle Madeley"

Try looking for the info on 1881 census.......it is FREE on www.familysearch.org

Or, you can find it........again free......on Ancestry, where you can search by address.

There is no-one by that name living in Madeley in either 1841 or 1851.

My aunt has asked me to look into the history of her house and from the deeds she knows that some one called Shakeshaft was in the house in the 1840s. Village rumour has it that the building was once a pub.Could some please find anyone of this name in Madeley Staffordshire. At that time the address would have been Middle Madeley, Madeley.
