	I think you need to do some googling to find where in Gent you may be able to get further info.

Member Since: March 2003 Posts: 19 Send Message	Looking for ancestors of Gustavus Thomas Van de Velde, born in Gent, Belgium 23/03/1850. Father was Edward, a tailor. I know about Gustavus' later life as a cellist and professor of music, and am one of his descendants, but have no information about his background.
