You'll need to purchase the marriage certificate which will give you Agnes's age and her father's details. |

I am trying to find any information on Agnes Corbett (born approx 1893) I THINK her parents were James Corbett and Sarah Vine but I am not 100% sure on this. Agnes would have been my boyfriends grandmother, although he never met her as she died a long time before he was born. I think she died between 1952 and 1955, this is going by old postcards sent between her children. On the ones in 1952 the one daughter is telling her sister 'don't forget to go and see mum'. I am not sure if she was in hospital or what. I know that she had died before OCT/NOV/DEC 1955 as this is when my boyfriends parents got married and a newspaper cutting about their marriage says that she put her bouquet on her mum's grave. The family was living at Yarpole, near Leominster at the time but both Agnes and her husband Isaac Jones are buried in Abergavenney (where they were born). I have found the record of Isaacs death in 1975 - registered in Leominster - but I don't know where Agnes died. My boyfriends mother cannot remember much any more and I don't have any contact with her sisters to see if they know anything. Apparently there is no headstone on the grave either so I am a bit stuck - any ideas anyone? |
