There's a good chance this is the other couple as Fred is around the right age. This means Robert probably married Alice. |

The marriage you have just given me would be to Eleanor Alice Everett as the surname rang a bell, checked up 1891 census for Robert and she was living with him and his parents in Folkestone under the name of Alice E Everett Milliners shop woman, so it looks like the 1901 census would be for Robert and Alice or Eleanor!! That might help. |

Re William Brandford. I was the one that helped with that branch. I searched everywhere for Harriet but couldn't find her. Couldn't find a death either. |

I have just checked through the 1881 census for William, found it as born Doverone. Should have checked it more thoroughly. It says he is lodging at 3 Saxton Street, Dover - Examining Officer Customs so it is the correct one. Also claims married. What do you think about this, you found 1891 with Annie K living next door and we assumed it was his family but maybe just another relation of some kind. From 1871 - 1901 William is Lodging but still classed as married so perhaps William and Harriet seperated. I think perhaps I might look for deaths now then for them both. |
