Have just found a bit more on Ancestry:

William Thomas Turbutt married Mary Ann Cameron Q3 1864 in Shoreditch, London.

William Thomas Turbutt died 1899 in Islington, London, estimated birth year is 1844.

It looks like this is the man you need, I wonder if he goes under his middle name or something. I can't find the other two marriages though.

You definately need to check with your contact where she has had the information from. It is very unusual that there is no trace of another William Turbutt born around the same time on any census from 1841 - 1901 if she is sure this one isn't your man.

I cannot find him on the censuses at the moment, but will keep looking. I have him down as marrying Mary Cameron, Elizabeth Paddock and a Caroline Unknown.

Unfortunately this is all info I have at the moment. Different relatives have put him as having one child with Elizabeth and four with Caroline. I just seem to have hit a brick wall with him!

Do you have him on censuses? That should tell you his place of birth. Do you have the names of any of his wives or know where he lived or where he married? Anything at all you can tell us will help!

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone could possibly help me find further information on a William Turbutt born c1844. At the moment I have very mixed information from him from using different sites and can't put it all together, not helped by the fact I can find no information on his birth.

I have down that he bore 5 children by two different women, but was married 3 times. If any could help that would be great! I have found a William Turbutt born in Worcester, but I have been told that the William Turbutt in my tree was born in London by someone studying the tree for years, although this is all the information he can give me.
