Endorse the above. You must get birth and marriage certificates especially as in1901 census there are listed almost 3,000 with this surname.

you can do a free search through the actual ledgers to locate other siblings.

I've found your Dad's parents marriage:


Arthur R Kettle married Marion Budd
Oct/Nov/Dec qtr 1926

Ref: Edmonton 3a 1145.

If you send to the GRO and get a copy it will give you their parents names.

Was going to put marriage on but see someone has beat me to it.

Arthur Kettle married a Marion Budd 1926 quarter 4
Edmonton Vol 3a page 1145.

If you send for the marriage cert it will give your their ages and fathers names.

You need to get a copy of your dad's birth certificate and then you will have both his parents names.

Then you can get their marriage certificate and find out how old they were and who their fathers were and work back from there.

The only way to find his sisters is to search the birth records for Kettle children born in the right area with the mothers maiden name of Budd (if this is right). Was your dad the eldest?

Can anybody help please. I am trying to find Ancestors form my dad's side. His name is Donald Leslie Kettle d.o.b 1928 born in edmonton or enfield. d.o.d 1991 he was aslo known as mop kettle?? not sure why lol. he had 2 sisters. 1st i know was Joyce 2nd may be Gwen??. I found his birth and his mothers maiden name was listed as budd??. I think they grew up in Tyberry rd Enfield EN3. Thats about all i have!!
